This is where your kids party gets going on two wheels. Europe's only indoor mountain bike trail isn't tucked away in the Alps or the Ardennes, but right around the corner, smack in the middle of Flevoland.
Here they take a proper mountain bike round an indoor trail packed with berms, rollers, log crossings and wooden bridges. The great outdoors, only indoors. We hand them a bike and a helmet, run them through it, and off they go.
For the older ones especially (10, 11, 12) this doesn't feel like a "kids party" at all. More like a proper day out with their mates, with the birthday kid as the star of the show. And since the whole park is under a roof, the party goes ahead whether it's bucketing down or 28 degrees.

Why you won't get them off those bikes
Never done it before? No bother.
Parents say it every single time: kids who've never sat on a mountain bike are ripping through the berms within ten minutes, grinning ear to ear.
That's because every party kicks off with a briefing on the trail and the bike, plus an instructor riding along for the first twenty minutes or so. After that, they're off on their own.
We keep an eye on them.
Our instructors ride with them, watch out for them and hand out tips along the way. Group getting into it? They'll get something spicier to sink their teeth into. And if someone takes a tumble, we're right there to get them back on the bike.

And you? Right in the thick of it.
From a picnic table in the middle of the trail you watch the kids fly past. No waiting room, no canteen with vending-machine coffee, just a seat where it all happens. And yes, we do proper fresh-bean coffee too 😉

A mountain bike party is for kids from 8 who've already had a few solid years on a bike. That's not a formality. Kids who are steady on two wheels can properly handle the trail, and that's when it turns into a real party.
If a child isn't quite there yet, their bike skills usually aren't up to it. To keep anyone from ending up on the sidelines, it's better to wait a year or two. Most parties here are kids between 8 and 12, exactly the age where mountain biking really clicks.

You'll find us on E. Heimansweg in Almere, just off the A6 with free parking right outside. Europe's only indoor mountain bike park. And it happens to be right here, in Almere.
From Lelystad you're here in twenty minutes. And we regularly get kids from Zeewolde, Huizen, Hilversum and 't Gooi celebrating here too, because an indoor trail is something you won't find anywhere else.
Afterwards you all pile into the restaurant. Chips with a snack, something to drink, and a chance to wind down (and relive it all) after the action.
